About Altiora
Discimus. Crescimus. Coniungimus.
Altiora Academic Partners is a Toronto-based education advisory working with international families considering schools and universities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
We begin by understanding the student. Academic history is part of the picture, along with how the student learns, where they are strongest, where they may need support, and what the family hopes to achieve over the next several years. That work comes before any school recommendation.
Our team has years of experience working with Canadian schools, international students, and families moving between different education systems. We are comfortable with cases that require closer attention: changes in curriculum or country, uneven academic records, ambitious university plans, and students who need a school environment with the right level of structure and support.
We also work with neurodivergent students, including students with ADHD and other learning differences. In these cases, details matter. Class size, teaching style, workload, academic support, and school culture can have a direct effect on how well a student performs and settles into a new environment.
Our relationships with Canadian independent schools are deliberately selective. We take time to understand their academic programs, admissions expectations, student support, and culture. When we recommend a school, we should be able to explain exactly why we believe it is a good fit for that student.
For families planning further ahead, our work can continue through course selection, academic planning, school transitions, and preparation for university admission in Canada and abroad.
Our motto is Latin. Discimus means 'we learn' — we study the student, the school and the family context. Crescimus means 'we grow' — the plan evolves as the student does. Coniungimus means 'we connect' — we bring together the right people, places and opportunities so that a thoughtful choice becomes a real future.
How It Works
We start with the student: grades, interests, budget, timeline.
We build a short list of schools that actually fit.
We run the application, documents, and interview prep.
After enrolment, we stay in touch with the school and the family.
