Terms of Use
Effective date: 12 August 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and R.E.A.D. Inc., carrying on business as Altiora Academic Partners ("Altiora") governing your access to and use of altioraacademic.com (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site you accept these Terms in their entirety. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Site. These Terms do not constitute the placement agreement, which is a separate written contract executed between Altiora and the client.
1. The publisher
The Site is published and operated by R.E.A.D. Inc., carrying on business as Altiora Academic Partners, registered office 45 Karl Fraser Road, Unit Q001, North York, Ontario M3C 0E5, Canada.
2. Permitted use and intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, layout, photography, graphics, the Altiora name and crest, and the compilation thereof, is owned by Altiora or its licensors and is protected by the Copyright Act (Canada) and applicable trade-mark law. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and display the Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes, and to print or share links to individual pages in unmodified form.
You must not reproduce, adapt, republish, frame, data-mine, scrape or otherwise exploit any part of the Site for commercial purposes, and in particular must not use its content, photography or crest in the materials of any other education agency or consultancy. Third-party institutional names and logos appear solely to identify institutions attended by, or offering admission to, students supported by Altiora; they remain the property of their respective owners and their appearance does not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.
3. Nature of the information
Programme descriptions, regions, institution names, indicative fees and timelines published on the Site are provided for general information only and are subject to change without notice. Admission requirements, tuition, term dates and the availability of places are determined solely by the institutions concerned.
Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer of admission, a representation that admission will be granted, immigration advice, legal advice, tax advice or financial advice, and nothing on the Site should be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice obtained in respect of an individual's circumstances.
4. Enquiries and formation of contract
An enquiry submitted by email, telephone, messaging application or any other means does not create a contractual relationship and imposes no obligation on either party. Altiora is engaged only upon execution of a written placement agreement specifying the scope of services, fees, payment terms and the responsibilities of each party. No employee or representative of Altiora has authority to vary these Terms except in writing.
5. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to websites operated by institutions, governmental bodies or other third parties. Such links are provided for convenience only. Altiora does not control, monitor or endorse those websites and accepts no responsibility for their content, availability, accuracy or privacy practices.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altiora disclaims all representations, warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including as to accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability and freedom from error or malicious code.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altiora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunity, profit, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Altiora, its directors, officers and personnel from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful or unauthorized use of the Site.
8. Governing law, jurisdiction and severability
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties irrevocably attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Altiora may amend these Terms at any time by publishing an updated version on the Site; continued use of the Site after publication constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
